ALERT! FINTRAC has informed us that it intends to begin auditing life insurance brokers, agents and agencies beginning Fall 2011. Be prepared! Below you'll find links to the actual document that FINTRAC will be using when it conducts these audits. Friday Feb. 3, 2012 - 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Location: IFB Boardroom, Suite 306 - 30 Eglinton Ave. West, Mississauga ON These are interactive workshops led by Susan Allemang, IFB's Regulatory Affairs Officer, who will assist you in developing policies and procedures specific to your own firm to help you meet your obligations under the Federal Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Legislation. Having up-to-date and compliant documents is key should you be subject to a Fintrac audit! Registration is limited to a maximum of 8 per session. Please note that this workshop is geared to life insurance brokers only. Two hours of CE credit will be awarded for attending this workshop. The cost to attend is $20 for IFB members, and $30 for all others.
