How to Talk to Clients About Legal Risk Without Overstepping

Legal issues come up daily in brokerage work: home repairs gone wrong, neighbour boundary disputes, tenant problems, or small business contract conflicts. Brokers often get pulled into these conversations because clients trust them. This course shows how to talk about legal risk in a way that is ethical, clear, and compliant, and protects both the broker and their clients.

Ontario Auto Reform: Navigating Discussions with Clients

Effective July 1, 2026, significant reforms to Ontario auto insurance will make many Statutory Accident Benefits optional rather than automatically included in every policy. RIBO-licensed brokers will need to clearly explain these changes, identify which clients may be impacted, and support them in making informed coverage decisions. This course will outline the key reforms, provide guidance on navigating client conversations, and offer insights into how insurers are responding to and implementing these changes.
